The 2005 Stern Grand Prix pinball we have at the Ann Arbor Pinbal Museum was a re-import from Italy. What makes that special? Well the Stern Grand Prix was not available for sale in the United States. Instead it was marketed with the "Nascar" dress and theme. Since Nascar is meaningless in Europe, all games exported where re-themed with "Grand Prix" graphics instead of "Nascar." Hence there's probably less than ten Stern "Grand Prix" games in the United States. Personally we like the Grand Prix nomenclature much better.
